The new Stephen Soderbergh/Matt Damon movie comes out Friday. It's based on a true story about Archer Daniels Midland executive Mark Whitacre, who suffers from bipolar disorder and basically became an FBI informant because the bureau believed his delusions.
Director Steven Soderbergh, however, sees gold in them there cornfields. Thus "The Informant!" the exclamation point is Soderbergh's his retelling of a bizarre, based-on-true-events story of one of America's highest ranking corporate whistle-blowers.
