Toshiba has launched its smartphone based Qualcomm snapdragons, the TG01 in the Taiwan market with a suggested retail price of NT $ 20.900 (U.S. $ 647).
From TG01 was launched in July, sales of full-touchscreen Windows Mobile-based phones have been high in several European markets including Britain, Spain, France, Germany and Italy, according Yasahiro Yamada, Managing Director of overseas sales and marketing, Toshiba Mobile Communications.
Toshiba has moved its base of mobile phone production from Japan to China, and the company currently has no plans to outsource the production of smartphones for other manufacturers, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
The TG01 Toshiba is only 9.9 mm thick, but it has a 4.1 "WVGA full touchscreen (800 x 480 pixels.) Runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes with Internet Explorer Mobile 6 (the full support from the flash). The TG01 Toshiba is the first device in the world to run on the platform by Qualcomm snapdragons (1 GHz CPU board). This is really great!
Another interesting thing is, despite TG01 Toshiba internal memory is only 512 MB, has a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. So you need not worry about storage at all. It supports DivX video, and in contrast to other WinMo-powered equipment, the TG01 can not use RealPlayer as your default media player, but with CorePlayer regarded as the best mobile media player around. This is yet another cool, and that is why so many people are crazy about her.
