Ranjith and Mammootty works PALERI Manikyam. Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Kadhe. Mammootty makes a dual role in research in this thriller.
The film is based on a novel by TP Rajeevan. Haridas (Mammootty), a private detective investigating the murder of a young woman Manikyam, who spent more than 50 years ago. Manikyam was killed just days after his marriage. Haridas assisted by Sarayu Sharma (Gowrie Munjal), a criminologist, in the study. The investigation of the murder were arrested at this stage because of lack of convincing evidence. The second role, Mammootty plays in the film is that of Haji Ahmad, a wealthy landlord.
Varnachitra and produced by AVA Productions, PALERI Manikyam: Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Kadhe have a lot of new faces in the cast. Also in the cast are Sreenivasan, Siddique, T Damodaran and Shwetha Menon. Manoj Pillai is director Sarath photography and music composer.
